To celebrate the Lunar New Year, Gate Charity held a charity event on January 22, 2025, in downtown Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to share the joy of the festival with the homeless, spreading warmth and hope.
Event Time
8:30 PM to 10:00 PM on January 22
Event location
Binh Thanh District: Dinh Street - Dien Bien Phu - Vo Thi Sau
District 1: Cach Mang Thang 8 - Nguyen Thi Minh Khai - Xo Viet Nghe Tinh
In this event, Gate Charity delivered warm holiday gifts to the homeless in Ho Chi Minh City. We prepared sticky rice dumplings and economic support worth 100,000 VND for each homeless person in the designated area of Binh Thanh District. Sticky rice dumplings are a traditional Vietnamese food made from glutinous rice, mung beans, pork, and other ingredients. They are the most representative festive food during the New Year, symbolizing reunion and hope.
These warm gestures have received high praise from the community, and we are also very happy to provide food and financial assistance to those in need during the Vietnamese Lunar New Year. Through this New Year event, we hope to convey the meaning of "reunion" and share warm moments with the homeless, accompanying them through this special night. As the most important traditional festival in Vietnam, the Lunar New Year not only symbolizes the arrival of the new year but also represents a time of care and hope.
Gate Charity is honored to bring warmth and reunion to the homeless in Ho Chi Minh City during the festival. We take pride in being able to let them feel the joy of the festival. In the future, Gate Charity will actively carry out more charitable activities to provide support to those in greatest need, spreading more love and warmth.
