This has resulted in significant user funds being lost and has severely damaged trust in the entire DeFi industry. Moo also mentioned that some users have chosen to exit DeFi and move their funds back into the traditional banking system due to the incident. On-chain investigator ZachXBT responded by revealing that Elemental had employed DPRK (North Korean) IT workers for years, disclosing related identities and addresses.
