Odaily News OpenAI announced on Monday that the weekly active user count of its ChatGPT will reach 700 million this week, an increase from 500 million in March, marking a year-on-year surge of over 4 times. The company stated that this figure includes all AI products of ChatGPT, including the free version, Plus Pro version, enterprise version, team version, and educational version, while the daily user message volume has surpassed 3 billion messages. Compared to a year-on-year growth rate of 2.5 times last year, the current growth rate is accelerating. As businesses and educational institutions increasingly integrate AI tools, the number of paid commercial users of ChatGPT has risen from 3 million in June to 5 million. OpenAI’s annual recurring revenue has now increased from 10 billion dollars in June to 13 billion dollars, and the company is expected to surpass 20 billion dollars by the end of the year.
