The probability of the Federal Reserve keeping interest rates unchanged in January rises to 97.2% after the non-farm payrolls report.

Odaily Planet Daily reported that according to CME “Federal Reserve Watch”: After the non-farm payroll data was released, the probability of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates by 25 basis points in January is 2.8% (before the announcement it was 11.6%), and the probability of keeping rates unchanged has risen to 97.2% (before the announcement it was 88.4%). The probability of a total cut of 25 basis points by March is 32.3% (before the announcement it was 35.8%), and the probability of keeping rates unchanged is 66.8% (before the announcement it was 60.6%). The probability of a total cut of 50 basis points is 0.9% (before the announcement it was 3.7%).
