The financial market is increasingly betting on the former Federal Reserve Chairman (Fed) Kevin Warsh to become the next Fed Chair, after Donald Trump announced he had chosen an ideal candidate but has not disclosed the name. On Polymarket, Warsh is currently the leading name, followed by Kevin Hassett, Director of the US Council of Economic Advisers, while Christopher Waller and Rick Rieder are behind.
Recently, Trump even invited Rieder to the White House for an interview, adding more uncertainty to the race. As a former member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, Warsh is considered to have solid experience and policy background, having nearly been appointed during Trump’s first term. His stance supporting low interest rates is also believed to align with Trump’s direction, leading many investors to think Warsh is the most likely choice, although the final decision has not yet been confirmed.
