Germany’s DAX 30 index closed down 294.12 points, a decline of 1.23%, at 23,641.20; the UK’s FTSE 100 index closed down 58.98 points, a decline of 0.57%, at 10,353.26; France’s CAC 40 index closed down 15.55 points, a decline of 0.19%, at 8,041.81; the Euro Stoxx 50 index closed down 40.72 points, a decline of 0.70%, at 5,796.45; Spain’s IBEX 35 index closed down 91.10 points, a decline of 0.52%, at 17,353.90; Italy’s FTSE MIB index closed down 407.19 points, a decline of 0.90%, at 44,794.50.
