Australia's NAB Removes August Rate Hike Forecast, Projects RBA Cash Rate to 3.6% by End of 2027

Australia's National Australia Bank (NAB) revised its monetary policy outlook on June 9, no longer forecasting a 25 basis point rate hike from the Reserve Bank of Australia in August. The bank expects the next move in the official cash rate will be a cut, though timing remains uncertain. NAB now projects the official cash rate will decline to 3.6% by the end of 2027.
