Bitcoin Falls Below $60,000 for First Time Since Election, Down 52% From ATH

BTC-1.13%
Bitcoin fell below $60,000 on Friday for the first time since November 2024, trading at $60,619—about 12.6% below its election day closing price of $69,355 on November 5, 2024. The decline represents a 52% drop from its all-time high of $126,080 reached in October 2025. Bitcoin ETF outflows exceeding $1.5 billion in January 2026 and a capital rotation into AI assets, with more than $4 billion in ETF outflows in less than a month, have been cited as key drivers of the downturn. Michael Saylor's MicroStrategy sold 32 BTC in late May for approximately $2.5 million.
