According to state media CCTV, explosions were reported near Qeshm Island and Bandar Abbas in southern Iran on May 7. Part of the sounds may be linked to Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy warning operations against unauthorized vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s official authorities have not yet commented on the incidents.
