According to Iran’s Foreign Minister Alagchi, speaking on social media on May 5, political crises cannot be resolved through military means, and the U.S. should be cautious of being drawn into further complications. Alagchi called the U.S. ‘Freedom Plan’ announced by President Trump on May 3 to guide trapped vessels away from the Strait of Hormuz a ‘deadlock plan.’
