Keppel Secures 60MW AI-Ready Data Center Site in South Korea, Targeting 2030 Operations

According to Keppel, its private fund Keppel Data Centre Fund III recently secured land in Ansan, Seoul Metropolitan Area, for a 60MW greenfield AI-ready data center, marking the company's entry into South Korea's market. The fund acquired an effective stake of approximately 73% in the special purpose vehicle owning the site, which already holds construction permits and power approvals.

The facility is targeted to become operational by 2030 and will serve cloud providers and enterprise customers. The South Korea project is part of Fund III, which raised US$580 million in April 2025 and is targeting US$2 billion for AI-ready hyperscale data center investments across Asia Pacific.
