Many cryptocurrencies claim to be the leading project. So, what exactly makes a coin a leader?

Many assets claim to be the leading asset. So, what kind of asset is truly the leader? Is it necessarily the one with the largest market capitalization?
First, a very small market cap definitely isn't a leader, because market cap generally reflects the strength of community consensus. If a project isn't among the top in market cap but claims to be the leader, that's just laughable.
Second, if market consensus isn't strong and the holdings are overly concentrated, it definitely isn't a market leader. This involves the structure of the holdings. If the holdings are highly concentrated in a few wallets, it might have a large market cap, but it doesn't mean it has the highest level of community consensus or is the market leader.
Third, a project lacking community expansion capability can't be a market leader. If a project has dispersed holders, many of whom are scattered, and lacks strong community cohesion and external outreach, it won't be a market leader either.
Fourth, significant price turnover pushing the price up, with obvious wealth effects.
Fifth, market-driven price, smooth and resilient. Leading projects in the market tend to have relatively stable prices. During market corrections, they tend to resist declines, and once the market stabilizes, they rebound quickly.
