Odaily Planet Daily reports that OpenAI and Oracle have decided not to proceed with the expansion of a large AI data center in Texas, USA. Previously, negotiations between the two sides had been stalled for a long time due to funding issues and OpenAI’s changing requirements. Sources say that after the negotiations ultimately fell through, it opened up opportunities for Meta to get involved. Meta is currently considering leasing the site of a data center in Abilene, Texas, from developer Crusoe, which was originally planned for expansion. It is reported that NVIDIA played a role in facilitating contact between Meta and the developer. (Reuters)
