U.S. Tech Giants Sign Commitment to Power Independence

On March 4th, U.S. President Donald Trump gathered Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI, Oracle, and xAI—seven artificial intelligence and large-scale computing companies—at the White House to jointly sign the “Electricity User Protection Pledge.” These tech giants committed to building, integrating, or purchasing new power generation resources, fully covering the costs of upgrading their data center power transmission infrastructure. They will also negotiate independent rate structures with utility companies and state governments to ensure they pay for infrastructure dedicated to their operations regardless of actual electricity usage.

Huawei’s Two Major Automotive Businesses Make First Public Appearance Together

Huawei’s two automotive business units—HarmonyOS Intelligent Driving and Smart Automotive Solutions (referred to as “Car BU”)—have historically operated independently, with potential internal competition. On March 4th, Car BU CEO Jin Yuzhi participated for the first time in the HarmonyOS Intelligent Driving technology launch event, introducing Huawei’s new generation laser radar. This was also the first time he appeared alongside Huawei Terminal Chairman Yu Chengdong.
