Textron System' Damocles Loitering Munition Selected For US Army LASSO Contract
Textron Systems has been awarded a prototype agreement by the U.S. Army for the Low Altitude Stalking & Strike Ordnance (LASSO) program. Under this agreement, Textron Systems will deliver and demonstrate its Damocles loitering munition system, which features an advanced GEN2 Explosively Formed Penetrator and is designed for decisive lethality in peer warfare environments. The Damocles system in this program is integrated with a VTOL uncrewed aircraft system to provide a top-attack capability without requiring launch or recovery equipment.
