Ministry of Foreign Affairs: All parties have a responsibility to ensure stable and smooth energy supply
On March 10th, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun hosted a routine press conference. A reporter asked about the situation in the Middle East and issues related to global energy security.
In response, Guo Jiakun stated, “We are deeply concerned about the ongoing tension in the Middle East. All parties should immediately cease military actions to prevent further escalation and avoid greater impacts on global economic development caused by regional instability.”
Guo Jiakun also said that energy security is vital to the global economy, and all parties have a responsibility to ensure stable and smooth energy supplies. China will take necessary measures to safeguard its own energy security. For specific issues, please consult the relevant Chinese authorities.
