Federal Appeals Court Denies U.S. Government's Extension Request, Tariff Refund Litigation Reinitiated

After the U.S. Supreme Court rejected Trump’s landmark economic policies, the federal appeals court dismissed the U.S. government’s request to delay the next steps in the dispute over importers’ tariff refunds. The U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday ordered the immediate restart of the relevant legal proceedings and sent the case back to the U.S. International Trade Court. The court rejected the government’s request to continue the case suspension for up to four months. A group of small businesses that filed the lawsuit urged the federal appeals court to end its review process immediately so that the tariff refund claims can be expedited. (Sina Finance)
