The General Office of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province issued the “Action Plan for Accelerating the Cultivation and Development of New Tracks to Lead the Modern Industrial System Construction (2026–2035).” The plan proposes focusing on the research, design, and manufacturing of high-end general-purpose AI chips such as GPU, FPGA, NPU, and ASIC dedicated AI chips. It aims to accelerate the development of AI chips based on RISC-V and other reduced instruction set architectures, actively explore innovative solutions for AI chips such as high-performance integrated storage and computing, brain-like computing, photonic computing, and optoelectronic integration. It also emphasizes the development of high-bandwidth storage chips and continuously improving the AI chip development and application ecosystem.
