China's Aid Namibia Satellite Ground Data Reception Station Officially Handed Over

A handover ceremony was held on the 12th for the Chinese-assisted Namibia Satellite Ground Data Receiving Station located in the southern suburbs of Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. Namibian Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila attended the ceremony and stated that this project will significantly enhance Namibia’s ability to acquire and process satellite remote sensing data, providing precise spatial information support for disaster prevention and mitigation, scientific decision-making in key economic sectors, and innovation-driven development.
