Abstract generation in progress

Today (the 11th), China’s independently developed T1200-grade ultra-high-strength carbon fiber will be launched globally for the first time. This breakthrough fills a gap in the global field and marks a significant leap forward for China in the production of ultra-high-strength carbon fibers.

The T1200-grade ultra-high-strength carbon fiber launched this time was independently developed by China National Building Material Group. Notably, it is not just a laboratory sample but an industrial product capable of producing hundreds of tons at scale. This makes China the first country in the world to achieve hundred-ton scale production of this grade of carbon fiber. In simple terms, the diameter of T1200-grade carbon fiber is less than one-tenth of a human hair, but its tensile strength is ten times that of ordinary steel, and its density is only a quarter of steel. Its lightweight and tough characteristics are very prominent. With these excellent properties, it can be widely used in strategic emerging industries such as aerospace, low-altitude economy, and humanoid robots.
