The tax inspection efforts on temples have been intensified across the board. If any tax issues are found, strict recovery and penalties will be enforced.
Zhejiang is a region with dense Buddhist activities and the largest scale of funding, where income from incense offerings, donations, and ticket sales at a single temple can reach hundreds of millions of yuan, and in some cases even billions.
