These days, I've been talking about sharding and parallel processing again, and it sounds pretty lively, like "it won't lag anymore in the future." But I, who am more concerned about gas fees, am actually more nervous: whether it's fast or slow is secondary, the key is where to put assets and whether they can be withdrawn or not. Coincidentally, that mainstream public chain is about to upgrade/maintain, and everyone in the group is guessing whether ecosystem projects will migrate. I just want to ask: Are the bridge, contracts, and wallet prompts all up to date? Because if the chain forks later, the address stays the same but the path of the funds changes, and no one can explain clearly.
What I fear most isn't slowness, but chaos—slow at worst just means waiting a bit longer, but chaos is thinking you're on chain A when you're actually settled on chain B, and the exit button is still greyed out... Anyway, I'm used to preparing for the worst now: testing small amounts first, leaving enough for fees, and if possible, withdrawing early as a backup. When projects say "we will support it soon," I just take it as background noise.
