The U.S. military attacked a so-called "drug trafficking ship" in the East Pacific.
U.S. Southern Command announced on the 20th that on the 19th, U.S. forces launched an attack on a so-called “drug trafficking ship” in the Eastern Pacific.
The statement said that, following orders from U.S. Southern Command Commander General Frances Donavan, the U.S. “Southern Spear” joint task force attacked a vessel operated by a “designated terrorist organization” on the 19th, with 3 “drug terrorists” surviving.
Southern Command has notified the U.S. Coast Guard to initiate a survivor search and rescue operation.
The message did not mention casualties from the attack or whether any survivors were rescued.
