On April 2nd local time, the Beik Highway Bridge in Karaj City, Iran, was attacked again. Earlier that day, Iran stated that multiple targets in the Karaj Azimiyeh area were hit, including one bridge. The attack also caused multiple injuries. It is reported that the attack targeted the Beik Highway Bridge, which is a landmark project in Iran’s engineering industry, known as one of the most complex engineering achievements in the world. It is part of the core road infrastructure of the Tehran-Karaj transportation corridor and was scheduled to be officially operational soon. The attack damaged the main structure of the bridge, and the relevant road sections have been fully closed. The local government issued an emergency alert, urging residents to avoid the area. The attack also caused power outages in parts of Karaj, and the power company has dispatched repair teams to the scene to carry out emergency repairs. (CCTV News)
