U.S. Stock Indices Close Lower

On April 22, the three major U.S. stock indices closed lower, with the Dow Jones down 0.59%, the Nasdaq down 0.59%, and the S&P 500 down 0.63%. Most popular tech stocks declined, with Apple falling over 2%, Nvidia, Google, and Tesla dropping over 1%, while Microsoft rose over 1%. Oil and gas stocks and computer hardware saw the largest gains, with U.S. energy up over 8%, HP up over 7%, Dell Technologies up over 4%, Seagate Technology and Occidental Petroleum up over 3%, and Chevron up over 1%. Precious metals and cryptocurrency-related stocks were among the biggest losers, with Circle down over 9%, Coinbase down over 7%, and U.S. Gold Corp, Pan American Silver, and Robinhood down over 5%.
