Vosh: The Federal Reserve's balance sheet is too large and will work with the Treasury Department to reduce it.

ME News Report, April 22 (UTC+8), Federal Reserve nominee Waller stated that he still hopes the Fed’s balance sheet can shrink and will work with the Treasury Secretary to achieve this goal. Waller told senators, “A large balance sheet has become a common, recurring phenomenon, and it serves no purpose, which is also part of the reason the Fed is involved in political affairs. I believe we need a smaller Fed balance sheet. Working with the Treasury Secretary, we will find a way to reduce the size of the balance sheet.” (Source: Jinshi)
