Recently, I see everyone arguing about which L2 has higher TPS, which is cheaper, and which offers better subsidies... Honestly, the common people's experience is just one feeling: no lag, no high costs, and not having to relearn everything every time.

My own compromise is pretty simple: for small daily interactions and more frequent operations, I prefer to use L2 with convenient fees, for peace of mind; but when it comes to long-term holding or larger amounts, I still choose a time to settle on the mainnet, which may be more expensive, but mainly for the sense of "grounding" and reliability. Don’t get caught up in the mudslinging; experience is short-term, settlement is the foundation, and using both makes life easier. Anyway, I now think of L2 as city buses, and the mainnet as the main road back home.
