Xchat's launch didn't meet expectations; I just did a quick test, logged in with an X account, and it’s similar to the X direct messaging feature, just with an added account settings function. The related meme coins are all dropping.
I logged in with my X account, and interestingly—private messages I hadn't seen before appeared on Xchat. Maybe the algorithm pins non-advertisement private messages.
There really aren't any standout useful features; there are many good apps out there. This is a bit like smartphone users switching to Android devices.
No wonder everyone thinks that developing this kind of product still depends on Chinese people.
