According to Polish media Onet, the CEO of the cryptocurrency exchange Zondacrypto, Przemysław Kral, has traveled to Israel, and due to his Israeli nationality, he may be difficult to extradite back to Poland. The report states that Zondacrypto is on the brink of bankruptcy, with approximately 99% of its Bitcoin reserves suspected to have disappeared; the company claims that about 4,500 BTC private keys are held by founder Sylwester Suszek, who has been missing since 2022, and prosecutors tend to believe he has been murdered. Currently, the platform has stopped withdrawals, management has disbanded, and Polish authorities have launched criminal and economic investigations, with actual losses potentially far exceeding the official estimate of about $100 million (approximately 350 million Polish zloty).
