Recently bouncing back and forth between the mainnet and L2, essentially trading gas for certainty. The mainnet is expensive but reassuring, especially for large transfers, authorization cleanups, and contract interactions where "making one mistake is a big hassle." I’d rather spend a bit more; L2 is suitable for frequent small actions, providing a smooth experience, and the gas fees don’t make me cringe every time I click.
My own compromise approach is pretty simple: use the mainnet as a safe deposit box, and L2 as a small change wallet. Try to keep daily interactions on L2, but periodically check your positions and permissions—don’t get so carried away on L2 that you forget which infinite approvals you’ve granted... I also don’t chase the cheapest bridge; I prioritize the ones I understand and have a history of fewer mishaps, even if it’s slower.
Recently, everyone’s been talking about modularization and the DA layer. Developers are pretty excited, but users mostly think, “So which button do I click…” Anyway, it all boils down to: do fewer meaningless on-chain operations, and if you can do it all in one go, don’t split it into three. Never mind, I won’t get into the grand narrative now. I need to keep my drawdown under control first.
