Shouchuang Futures: Rumors that the U.S. intercepted an Iranian oil tanker, oil prices continue to rise

The second round of negotiations has not yet been confirmed, and tensions remain high between the US and Iran. This afternoon, reports emerged that the United States intercepted at least three Iranian oil tankers, further worsening the current situation. According to reports, the US military has intercepted at least three oil tankers flying the Iranian flag in Asian waters and is currently steering them away from areas near India, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka. On April 22 local time, the US Central Command stated that since April 14, when US forces began implementing a blockade in the Strait of Hormuz region, as part of the blockade operation, the US military has demanded 31 ships to turn around or return to port. The US Central Command also said that currently, US forces are deploying the most comprehensive and strongest military presence in the Middle East ever. In the short term, oil prices will continue to be influenced by the US-Iran negotiations, with significant uncertainty and risks on both sides. It is recommended to wait and see.
