Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Liu Bin Holds Diplomatic Consultations with Kyrgyzstan Deputy Foreign Minister Abakirov

On April 22, 2026, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Liu Bin held diplomatic consultations between the two countries with Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Abakirov in Bishkek.

Liu Bin said that in recent years, high-level exchanges between China and Kyrgyzstan have been close. The two countries’ trade volume and the number of people-to-people exchanges have repeatedly hit new highs. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Kyrgyz side to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries as the guiding principle, play a good coordinating role of the two foreign ministries, continuously deepen political mutual trust, promote mutually beneficial cooperation, carry forward traditional friendship, and join hands to build a China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future.

Abakirov spoke highly of the new era of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Kyrgyzstan, and thanked the Chinese side for the valuable support it has provided to Kyrgyzstan’s economic and social development for many years. He emphasized that he is willing to fully leverage the leading role of leader-to-leader diplomacy, continue to advance cooperation with China in all areas, strengthen international coordination, and jointly open up new prospects for bilateral relations.
