I just looked into the cross-chain stuff again, and the more I look, the more scared I get... A few days ago, I almost hesitated and accidentally transferred a large amount from chain A to chain B. Then I thought: once you "cross over," you're not just trusting the chain itself, but also trusting whether the relay/relayer is forwarding according to the rules, whether the light client/verification logic isn't messed up, whether the multi-signature/permissions on the bridge haven't been compromised, and even whether the other chain won't suddenly crash out of your confirmed block count. To put it simply, cross-chain isn't just about transfers; it's about a series of components not dropping the ball. Recently, funding rates have been extreme, and in the group, people are arguing whether to reverse or continue squeezing the bubble. I might as well cross out the "cross-chain + high leverage" combo from my list... Small tests, slower pace, sleep more peacefully.
