Three Speaking Skills

Skill One

Core Logic: Replace commanding or accusatory tones with gentle, expectant expressions to reduce the other person's resistance.
Original: You can't do this (commands, negative tone)
Revised: I hope you won't do this (expresses personal feelings, more acceptable)

Skill Two

Core Logic: Use "and" instead of "but" to eliminate the negative feeling caused by contrast, making the expression more positive.
Original: I like you, but I don't like you smoking ( "but" weakens the praise and emphasizes the negative)
Revised: I like you, and I like the you who doesn't smoke (continues positive expression, turns the request into an expectation)

Skill Three

Core Logic: Remove completely negative or absolute words to avoid closing off possibilities and leave room for understanding.
For example: I will never believe you (completely negative, intensifies conflict)
