CATL's Gao Huan: Kirin Solid-State Battery Fully Resolves Safety Issues
April 21 evening news, CATL held its 2026 “Super Technology Day” launch event tonight, themed “Extreme Domain Appointment.” CATL stated that this is the most technologically dense launch event since its establishment. CATL’s Chief Technology Officer Gao Huan said at the event that cars using Kirin solid-state batteries can have a range of over 1,500 kilometers, and the battery pack weight can still be controlled within 650 kilograms. Safety is also not compromised; Kirin solid-state batteries upgrade liquid electrolytes to solid electrolytes, thoroughly solving safety issues.
