Local nonprofits awarded grants from Columbia Gas and NiSource
Columbia Gas of Virginia, in partnership with NiSource Charitable Foundation, has announced the recipients of its 2026 Environmental Action Grant. Seven Virginia nonprofit organizations will share $30,000 to support environmental projects, with the Elizabeth River Project being a key recipient for its restoration efforts. Other organizations include Blue Ridge Prism, Virginia Association for Environmental Education, Rappahannock Education Farm, Keep Virginia Beautiful, Wildlife Center of Virginia, and The Urbanna Oyster Festival Foundation.
