Lately, everyone has been arguing about Layer 2: TPS, transaction fees, ecosystem subsidies—who's more powerful... I just want to say, can we slow down a bit?
For someone like me, a end-user, the feeling of modularization isn't that mysterious: the same interaction might be on chain A today, on chain B tomorrow, with a bunch of small balances moving back and forth in the wallet, more signature pop-ups, anyway, it's more "fragmented."
There are benefits too—more flexible routes, sometimes costs can be broken down and lowered; but risks are also broken down—any issue with bridges, sequencers, outsourced DAs... any link going wrong is a big problem.
So now I’m taking it slower: first, clarify the contract and fund paths, mark in the checklist "who does this step depend on," wait for confirmation before interacting if possible, resist the urge to click links impulsively.
A bit slower, a calmer mindset.
