Ministry of Finance: In March, the country sold a total of 54.4 billion yuan in lottery tickets, a year-on-year decrease of 6.6%.
Ministry of Finance data shows that in March, the total sales of lottery tickets nationwide reached 54.4 billion yuan, a decrease of 3.82B yuan or 6.6% year-on-year. Among them, the sales of welfare lottery agencies were 18.45B yuan, down 754 million yuan or 3.9% year-on-year; the sales of sports lottery agencies were 35.95B yuan, down 3.06B yuan or 7.9% year-on-year. The main reason is the reduction in sports events leading to a significant decline in the sales of betting-type lottery tickets. From January to March, the total sales nationwide reached 143.96B yuan, a decrease of 4.63B yuan or 3.1% year-on-year. Among them, welfare lottery agency sales were 48.4B yuan, down 2.87B yuan or 5.6%; sports lottery agency sales were 95.56B yuan, down 1.76B yuan or 1.8%.
