Just been checking the prediction markets and they're showing Nvidia sitting at 95% sure to beat earnings when they report this week. Pretty wild odds honestly. Been following the AI chip space for a bit, and the company's actually got a solid track record - beat estimates four quarters running at this point.
What's interesting is you're hearing the same story from their customers. Microsoft, Amazon, all the cloud providers keep talking about how much demand there is, which basically means they're loading up on Nvidia gear. That's usually a pretty good signal before earnings drop.
That said, I've seen this movie before with other tech stocks. AMD and Amazon both crushed their recent reports and their stocks still pulled back after. Sometimes people just take profits or find something to complain about in the numbers. So even if the prediction markets nail this and Nvidia beats, don't expect the stock to just moon immediately.
Longer term though, the AI spending story isn't going away. If the prediction holds and they beat, it's probably just another chapter in a bigger story playing out over the next few years.
