💢Short and medium-term trend identification method
1. How to distinguish the short-term trend
market data generally has many periods, such as 1 minute.5 minutes.15 minutes.1 hour4 hour daily candlestick level......
We use 15 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, and daily candlestick as examples to illustrate.
How to distinguish the short term trend with the above period
short term: For short-term operations, we usually look at the 15-minute and 1-hour timeframes.
Specific operation method: First, check whether the 1-hour trend is longs or shorts, then go to the 15-minute chart to find resistance support or short order.
How to determine the trend: From Figure 1, we can see that the lows are rising one by one, and the highs are also rising one by one, indicating a longs trend on the hourly chart. From Figure 2, we can see that the lows are dropping one by one, and the highs are also dropping one by one, indicating a shorts trend on the hourly chart.
How to follow the trend for trading operations; if the trend is long positions in the 1-hour timeframe, then we should look for a support level in the 15-minute timeframe to operate and take a long position at the lower level. This is the way to operate with the trend. Similarly, if you want to go against the trend in the 1-hour timeframe, then you can only find resistance support in the 4-hour timeframe.
Note: When there is a clear long positions trend in the market, and no top structure or obvious trend breakthrough, do not enter short or counter-trend operations easily.
2. How to distinguish the medium to long term trend
The difference between long term and short term lies in the duration of profit and cycle. The short-term cycle is generally the intraday trend, with a profit of about 1-2%.
The medium term cycle is generally about half a month to two months, and the return is calculated based on 10-20% Spot Fluctuation, not based on leverage.
Long-term cycle is generally a period of six months to several years, and the return is calculated based on price fluctuation of 100% or more.
The medium term looks at the basic trend of daily candlesticks and weekly charts.
The long term perspective is based on economic trends rather than candlestick charts.
