#GateOpinionQuest #IP Story Network (IP) will be a general-purpose Layer-1 blockchain that takes the best of EVM and Cosmos SDK. It is built to handle complex data structures such as intellectual property networks by implementing graph-like data storage in the execution layer and natively hosting a Proof of Creativity Protocol. In this way, large networks of intellectual property relationships can be created quickly and cost-effectively. This will be the key cornerstone that leverages Story's core intellectual property features that are not possible in other Layer-1 or Layer-2 solutions, such as permissionless licensing and automatic royalty payments.

Story Network's execution environment will be EVM compatible. Developers will be able to move their existing applications written in Solidity to Story. This makes Story a general-purpose platform that can benefit from the global IP layer, saving it from complexity. Thanks to the single slot finality implemented in the consensus layer, transactions will be instantaneous and provide a great user experience across the entire ecosystem.
In Story, anyone will be able to register their IP on the blockchain as something called an IP Asset. This on-chain record will be an immutable token that represents real-world IP and is stored in a consolidated ledger, a type of universal ledger that tracks all IP assets.
An asset in Story will not just be a token. When an IP Entity is registered, it is associated with the creating IP Account and allows the entity to perform actions in the form of modules. Modules are powerful application legos that enable complex business logic such as permissionless licensing or automatic royalty payments. Beyond the pre-configured licensing, copyright and dispute module, developers can create their own modules for advanced use cases. In other words, new features can be added or changed to all IPs.
