Demo Trading Interface Overview
In Gate's Options Demo Trading interface, you will see four main functional areas: Account Information panel, Options Underlying Selection panel, Expiration Date Selection panel, and T-shaped Options List Panel.

Account Information Panel (Hover to view details) Here, you can clearly see your account's key metrics to understand your current funds and trading risk. The main information includes:
- Account Mode: Switch between different account modes as needed.
- Options Account Equity = USDT Balance + Total Value of Options Positions Total Value of Options Positions = Sum of (Mark Price × Holding Amount) for all positions
- Available Balance: The amount of margin available for opening new positions. This represents the funds that can be used to establish new options positions, excluding the funds occupied by active open orders.
- Order Margin: The margin currently locked by active open orders. When placing an open order, the system will pre-freeze the required margin, which already includes the trading fee. Therefore, users do not need to account for trading fees separately when submitting an order.
- Maintenance Margin: The minimum margin required to maintain the current positions. When the account's total assets are less than or equal to the sum of the total order margin and total maintenance margin, the system will trigger a forced position reduction process to avoid the risk of liquidation.
- Total Initial Margin Ratio = Total Initial Margin / Total Account Equity. A smaller ratio indicates more available funds in the account. If the ratio exceeds 100%, all active open orders will be automatically canceled. Total Initial Margin (Total IM) = Margin Required for Short Positions (Short IM) + Margin Required for Active Open Orders (Order IM)
