Lily Liu: SOL spot ETF has seen a net inflow of nearly $1 billion within 6 weeks against the market trend, and DAT will serve as a bridge connecting Solana and the open market.
On December 11, Lily Liu, Chairwoman of the Solana Foundation, stated at the Solana Breakpoint 2025 conference: “Solana is the first blockchain platform to establish a Policy Research Institute. Today, for every organization, formulating a digital asset strategy is imperative. As these institutions enter the blockchain space, they are choosing Solana. Western Union processes over $60 billion in remittances annually and has chosen Solana. Pfizer handles $2 trillion in merchant payments each year and has also opted for Solana. Other institutions are following suit. Of course, ETFs are a major theme this year. We have finally seen the launch of physically-backed Solana Staking ETFs—they entered the Solana ecosystem roughly six weeks ago, and within just six weeks, their assets under management have approached $1 billion. During a period of overall market underperformance, we experienced three consecutive weeks of continuous net inflows. Six physically-backed Solana Staking ETFs have already been listed in the US market. Another important theme this year, though somewhat controversial, is DAT (Decentralized Asset Treasury). Many see DAT as a short-term liquidity tool, but we hold a different view. Because Solana is one of the few platforms that enable enterprises to build both at the infrastructure layer and the asset layer. We believe DAT will become a long-term ecosystem company, acting as a bridge that connects Solana with the public markets, building infrastructure and asset management systems, and integrating all these functions into one.”
