Yuga Labs has sold the Moonbirds IP to the gaming startup Orange Cap Games.
According to a report by Decrypt on May 31, Deep Tide TechFlow announced that Yuga Labs, the creator of Bored Ape Yacht Club, announced on May 31 that it has sold the intellectual property of Moonbirds NFT to the gaming startup Orange Cap Games, with the terms of the deal not disclosed.
This is the third NFT project IP sold by Yuga Labs this year. Previously, the company sold the Meebits and CryptoPunks IP to The Meebit Company and the non-profit organization Infinite Node Foundation in February and May, respectively.
Orange Cap Games has not announced specific development plans for the Moonbirds IP, but has stated that on-chain assets related to Moonbirds will be minted on the primary chain or on ApeChain associated with Yuga Labs. Additionally, Moonbirds characters will still appear in Yuga’s Otherside game.
