Golden Finance reported that ProCap BTC Chief Investment Officer Jeff Park stated that although there are some complex issues with the recently proposed Crypto Assets market structure bill, the overall outline of regulation for the Crypto Assets market is gradually becoming clearer.
On Friday, Parker pointed out in an interview with crypto assets entrepreneur Anthony Pompliano published on YouTube: “The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) will have a broader regulatory scope in the crypto assets space than the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).” He also emphasized that “there are still many complex issues between different stakeholders.”
He stated: “In my opinion, this direction is generally correct. The core functions of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) cover the regulation of financial innovation, while also managing capital efficiency, leverage tools, and derivative products.” He further explained that this is highly aligned with the current development direction of the Crypto Assets industry — the Crypto Assets industry is building a brand new settlement layer that can enhance capital efficiency at different speeds.
