Amazon plans to hold an internal meeting to address disruptions in AI-assisted coding services

Gate News Report, March 10 — Amazon plans to hold a retail technology conference on Tuesday to address a series of recent service outages, some of which are related to AI-assisted coding errors. Dave Treadwell, an executive responsible for Amazon’s website technology infrastructure, informed employees that the company will conduct an in-depth discussion on the issues during a meeting called “This Week in Stores Tech” (TWiST), scheduled to start at 12:30 PM Eastern Time. Treadwell stated in an employee memo that the availability of the website and related infrastructure has been poor recently, and due to the frequent occurrence of high-severity incidents (Sev 1, which cause critical system outages or performance degradation), he will shift the focus of the meeting.
