Gate News reports that on March 10, AI startup AgentMail announced on March 11 that it has completed a $6 million seed round led by General Catalyst, with participation from Y Combinator, Phosphor Capital, angel investor Paul Graham, HubSpot CTO Dharmesh Shah, Supabase CEO Paul Copplestone, and Ramp CTO Karim Atiyeh.
AgentMail also launched an automatic onboarding API, allowing developers to connect AI agents directly to the interface, enabling them to register and create email accounts independently. The platform also permits users to manually set up and manage email accounts, permissions, whitelists, and API keys.
AgentMail co-founder and CEO Haakam Aujla stated that AgentMail was built from scratch with the goal of providing an email experience for AI agents similar to that of humans in Gmail or Outlook, but without the elements of a human interface (UI).
