Gate News reports that on March 15, OpenAI co-founder Andrej Karpathy released a job outlook map covering 342 occupations, reflecting the degree of AI substitutability across various professions. The study uses a 10-point scoring system, with higher scores indicating greater AI replaceability. The research shows that physical jobs have lower AI substitutability, including roofers, cleaners, construction workers, plumbers, electricians, gardeners, as well as nurses and home caregivers. Conversely, occupations that rely entirely on digital input and output score higher, indicating stronger AI replaceability, such as medical transcriptionists, software developers, data analysts, legal assistants, and financial analysts.
