JPMorgan Chase CEO Dimon: The Iran war is ultimately a good thing in the long run

Goldman Sachs reports that on March 25, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon said that although the Iran war poses short-term risks, it could ultimately improve the prospects for lasting peace in the Middle East.
“I believe the Iran war will bring better opportunities in the long run — the risks may be greater in the short term because we don’t know the outcome,” Dimon told Palantir executive and former Congressman Mike Gallagher at a conference in Washington, D.C.
Dimon believes the key change is that the interests of major regional powers are becoming more aligned. He stated that Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, the United States, and Israel all want to achieve lasting peace, and specifically pointed out that Gulf countries have shown a willingness to move in that direction.
“The attitude now is completely different from 20 years ago,” Dimon said. “They all want peace.”
