GateNews

Gate News. On April 9, Mao Ning, a spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, chaired a regular press conference. A reporter from Agence France-Presse asked: yesterday, the White House said that over the past few days, the United States has held high-level talks with China on the issue of the Iran war, asking whether the talks have in fact already taken place and what specific topics were discussed. The second question concerns Lebanon, asking whether the Chinese side believes that Lebanon should also be included in the scope of the agreed-upon ceasefire arrangements. Mao Ning responded that since fighting broke out, China has maintained communication with all parties and has actively worked to mediate and prevent escalation. Regarding the Lebanon issue, Mao Ning said that China hopes all parties can, as an opportunity provided by reaching temporary ceasefire arrangements, resolve the dispute through political and diplomatic means and put out the flames of war.
